This album is a piano album, but I stretched that definition to its limits by including some atypical pianos and piano-like instruments. This is one such case: I used a tack piano, which creates contrast between this piece and the ones that came before. You would usually see a tack piano used as a harpsichord replacement or in jazz pieces to create a “vintage” sound, but I tried to break that notion, to show that you can use them for other kinds of music just as effectively.
